We recommend selecting stone based on colour preferences. Quartz and granite are very comparable. Both are very strong and durable, but both have their pros and cons. Granite does require some maintenance and needs to be sealed periodically. Quartz is less heat resistant. 

Prices for granite and quartz vary significantly and depend on many factors such as colour, country of origin, the manufacturer (if quartz), rarity, etc. We have lots of quartz and granite options available in different price categories to meet any budget. 

Quartz requires minimal maintenance, doesn’t need to be sealed, very durable, stain and scratch resistant. It is also available in simple solid colours and whites which are difficult to find in granite. There are no natural imperfections such as fissures in quartz. 

Unlike many companies, we do not use price per square simply because we don’t want to provide misleading information.  The total cost will depend on the material you pick and its thickness, size, and shape of the project, number of cutouts required, edge profile, the overall complexity of the project.
